Where do you stay in Newcastle?
« on: November 17, 2009, 12:20:05 PM »
Can anyone recommend a hotel in Newcastle (goodvalue, price, quality). 5 stars hotel are good but overpriced. And of course it would be nice to stay in the same hotel with fellow Knopflerados  ;)

Ask Mark,  ;D
My idea of heaven is a place where the Tyne meets the Delta, where folk music meets the blues.

I seem to recall that the 5* hotel that the band stayed in in Newcastle received the "worst hotel of the tour" award from GF last time, so you might not want to stay there.

Not going this year, but last time Martina, Val, Waterline Man and ubhal all stayed at the Travelodge (seperate rooms, sadly), near the famous Waterline. Cheap and basic but evrything was new and clean, I'd certainly stay there again with no problems.

I will wait a little to book that one, it's GBP 70 for that saturday now. So no risk to wait a little. For that amount there are more hotels available
