Mark's fast fingers!

on of my absolute favourite songs of Brendan...

Abolutely! I love the lyrics, too - it's on a par with "In the Air Tonight". "One day I'll get my very dirty revenge on you..." ;-)

One of the best albums ever made, imho.

I love this rendition made in 1997. https://youtu.be/zftcuVQDcNM?si=6u5jhN76UlppUSJW

I always found it funny when the people in the comment section for Mark's version of "Raglan Road" had fierce battles about whether his version is any good, and how it's miles behind The Dubliners/Luke Kelly version as if it's a sin to have different versions.

Of course It's A Sin! Go ask the fans of the Pet Shop Boys  :lol

I never saw MK as a Blues Guitar Hero (he isn't)
He can play it for sure.
However, there are some variations that MK really shines.

In Congo Square, Mark is KILLING!

Where Is The Next I'm Coming Froom - At this time Mark was still "stealing" from Albert King

Actually came here to post Congo Square, but was beaten to it, so I'll go with Thomas Dolby's 17 Hills:

I also enjoy this discussion by Thomas Dolby about getting Mark's part recorded.  I posted this link on Guy's website once and asked if much of Mark's work is comped this heavily, but he deleted it:
