Finally, I bought Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan (4 CD) There are many beautiful versions of Bob Dylan's songs by various artists. Mark closes the first album.

weird choice for a cover version. with his lifelong being a fan i would have expected,...anything but this, does not suit his qualities.

Some already have said this, but I too must admit that most MK collaborations seem rather pointless and/or plain weak. However, there indeed are some nice one's. Here is another one, a cover of an old song from the same writer as Feel like going home, in a quite unusal line-up (including Marcus Cliffe I believe) .
So much like Mark's guitar fills, which are all over the song, real nice sounding tasty blues licks, imho far better than what he brought to the table with his attemps at blues songs on his own solo albums. The BB King influence MK sometimes talks about seems pretty obvious here.

It's such a good song it's hard to do a bad version of it. But at the same time I really can't see the point in listening to a cover when you could spend your time listening to the great Charlie Rich singing it.

I always found it funny when the people in the comment section for Mark's version of "Raglan Road" had fierce battles about whether his version is any good, and how it's miles behind The Dubliners/Luke Kelly version as if it's a sin to have different versions. I think Mark just channelled Van Morrison in his version as they are almost identical.
