Well, the obvious one is Going Home - can we out play the guitar heroes??  ;D

I'd suggest another instrumental. Anything with vocals will sound wrong without Mark's voice, but that's just my opinion.

p.s. Rolo - I would be happy to have a go at mixing the next one if we can sort something out through the google drive route.
as I'm retired I would be able to spend all the time required to get the best possible result.
(subject to your approval of course)

When you point your finger 'cause your plan fell through you've got 3 more fingers pointing back at you.

I was thinking about our rendition of When It Comes To You (sung in harmony or instrumentl)

Actually, when It comes to you might work, a few of us could take a verse or a few lines of vocals with a "chorus" on the chorus.
I think it needs to be a "band" type song - Altamira is a bit too "soundtracky" if you understand what I mean.

Good choices!

I think that, the best for our new recording has to be:
- Simple and fun. Because many of us don't have much free time and a complex song can be stressfull to manage
- Preferably instrumental
- Versionable. I mean versionable in sense that is not a cover perse, but a version with maybe new arrangements.

I have some songs that match some choices.
In my opinion, there are some MK's instrumentals that would be great to record.
- Sweet Dreams
- Two Brothers And A Stranger
- Freeway Flyer
- We're Going To War
- Metroland Theme
- Four In A Row

Going Home has several versions and, cause is the the most popular of all MK's intrumentals, i think that would not be a good choice.

As for non-intrumentals, i think that will be great to record:
- Where Do You Thing You're Going
- What's The Matter Baby
- When It Comes To You
- Pyroman
- Follow Me Home

However, it is my opinion.
I think that we can put a pool and vote.

What you guys think?

I think the vote should probably be restricted to those who contributed to the Long Road as they have proven they are prepared to
provide material.  It would be unfortunate if a majority vote was for a song that none of the actual contributors had voted for  ;D

That would be unfair. I believe the better solution is the power of veto should be introduced if such happens with all songs previously suggested or voted being excluded in the next pool until at least one of those who contributed votes for a particular song.
I'm a six foot three albion but you can adjust the seat
