Scavengers Yard is a tough nut to crack.
I know the way I can see by the moonlight
Clear as the day
Now come on woman, come follow me home

Sweet homage to Bernard Cribbens and his hit Gossip Calypso

Scavengers Yard is a tough nut to crack.

That's true!

But I love to deal with his music and the lyrics no matter how long it takes until I get it.
And once you have understood them to some extent, you have often even learned something new.
Your analysis on the forum are very helpful here. Thanks everybody!  :thumbsup

Me too. There is nothing more fascinating to me in music

Just a tiny take on the lyrics.

It is "the gates" not "the gate".
Promoting’s all about the gates

"The gates" stands here for the outcome (in the sense of number of people that atend the show and the money they made, or Mr. Solomons made particularly)
I'm a six foot three albion but you can adjust the seat

In the link below you can spot Jack London boxing in 1960, and also his brother and his father jump in at 1:40 into the video.
