Keep them coming folks! On a side note - I think I had 19 songs from the DTRW sessions. With Mark, more than any other artist I have ever listened to, I think of many of his albums as not just whatever is on the standard album (and with DRTW I am not sure I still understand what songs were on the standard version of that! I think I own 3 versions, all of which have different track listings - and different running orders!) - but rather I consider all the songs released from the sessions. So I already think of ODR as these 21 songs. I think of DTRW as the 19 songs. That doesn't hold for all Mark's albums, but certainly it does, with me at least, in terms of the 2nd half of his solo career.
There's a chap on here who i see always saying how much he hates DTRW - ! Fair enough - we like what we like. I liked much of DTRW - only 3 songs left me a little cold - Back on the Dancefloor, Nobody Does That and Good on You Son. Other than that, it was another terrific batch of songs, and I really loved the variety of styles and sounds, from Heavy Up, to rear View Mirror, from Sky and Water, to Don't Suck Me In, from Trapper Man to Matchstick Man. So, for me I would not say that this batch of 21 songs clearly outshines the last batch of 19. Anyway - I am now off to work out what my 12 song batch would be from the DTRW sessions!
