AMITERS - The Long Road - FINISHED

Seeing our enthusiasm about the new LH...
Well, here at this forum we got audio engineer, drummers, bass players, keyboard player and a lot of guitar players.

Can we made a collab on a DS/MK song?
Remote recording, nothing fancy, just for fun.
I made a bunch of collabs during the pandemic, it's really fun.

Just put my reply to the LH topic.

How about it?
Lets vote a song and the rest is fun.

I always thought vocal collaborations make more sense, like singing a song in a choir. If you take just 10 people it already sounds like a choir. Here in Russia, we have a group that sings songs of famous Russian singer-songwriters (amazing, amazing songs by the way, I grew up on those), with just a few guitars and a double bass, and 10-15 singers. But it gives each song a unique vibe like it's really people's song now and bigger than any person.

Anyway, it depends on the song, need to brainstorm it. Everything's possible!

We need to make sure we have an Italian or Spanish singer for that authentic DS tribute band sound.

I had some insights:

- Can be instrumental version
- Can be sung for more then one
- Extensive instrumental section

Well, i have some suggestions:

Why Worry
Can be a instrumental version or sung as a duet.
If was instrumental, can be done like the LH stuff.
I suggest include the outro part for some guitar improvisations.

Irish Boy
Instrumental
Can be done like the new LH

The Long Road
Instrumental
Can be done like the new LH

Storybook Love
Instrumental
Can be done like the new LH

Sultans
Sung
Every guitar player made one guitar lick during the singed part
The middle solo is made by one guitar player
The final solo made by everyone
Cons: Everybody has played sultans on YT.

Where Do You Thing You're Going
Sung
Long intro
I have an arrengement for the middle solo
Final solo with a lot of improvisation

Six Blade Knife
Sung
Longer intro, solos

All depends from who will be involved.

I'll add some pedal or lap steel to annoy all the Paul Franklin haters.

Let's put some vintage Vox Continental organ viber on it.

I’m know one of my kids has a recorder from Primary School somewhere. But in all seriousness it sounds like a cool idea. Be interesting to hear the result.

Indeed a very nice idea! I do have a Hammond XK3-c, but no real Leslie nor proper recording equipment.

Do you have an audio interface, a desk and one mic?
Or an audio interface and a keyboard?

Doesn't need to be fancy stuff.

I lean towards Mark's solo stuff (soundtracks included) for some reason, The Long Road is awesome. I know a classical guitar version that is easily as good as the original:
