For the last decade or so, I have been working for a big record shop. The MK box sets and the live DS one, were ordered through the official distributor and arrived a couple of days before the official release date. The price however was not the lowest one, I found out later. The distributors in other countries seem to have different prices and after sometime some of them even had them on sale. I was able to get MK first CD box set of albums for as low as 12 Euros (plus tax) and the second one for 18 (plus tax). The live DS boxset is relatively new to be on sale. The deluxe editions of MK were discounted on larger shops but not from the distributors, except one, but by then I already had bought it. I think that these multi editions, are for fans like us that want to have everything. And it still strikes me as very odd that MK management is allowed to market these new recordings like this, because MK never allowed the DS recordings to be released with any extra discs, bonus material, etc. And even if there are not many B sides or demos, there are many live recordings that could become the second extra - disc easily. I hoped it had something to do with the integrity of the original release, that is often disrupted by other artists that release deluxe editions, but it seems to be another reason I can not get.
