'Two Pairs of Hands’ would just be a song trying to explain what it’s like coping with all of the info and trying to collate everything when you’re standing in the middle of the stage with a huge band. You’ve got a big audience around you and you’re just trying to process all of this stuff at the same time.’

A 'stock' Knopfler tune with some 'stock' licks and a groove straight out of Band-in-a-Box. Lyrically weak. If he's trying to convey the drama and excitement of playing in front of a big crowd, he seriously failed IMO. He might as well have tried to explain how to replace a bin liner.

DTRW was a huge disappointment for me.  Yes, there were some songs I liked but not very many compared to the previous album, Tracker, which I still listen to including the bonus songs and consider it to be a masterpiece.   I like what I have heard from the new album so far and I hope it won't be another disappointment.

The good thing about this album is that it will be considerably shorter than his previous ones because it needs to fit on vinyl. I can appreciate "slow and low-key", in the right moment, but then the album mustn't drag. Shorter running time helps to avoid that.
