One final chance to get the blu ray:
https://superdeluxeedition.com/news/more-mark-knopfler-one-deep-river-blu-rays-now-available/

Thank you.

Fuck it, just ordered. I guess given the limited availability I'll be able to sell it if I end up thinking the multichannel stuff is pointless. I don't have Atmos but we'll see how it sounds in 5.1.

Ordered it also for the high res stereo audio, don't have Atmos either.

Somebody from SDE responded to a question about the album: I liked it. Very high quality audio and it sounded great – the bonus tracks are good fun, bit of a ‘B-side’ vibe going on, and I mean that in a good way.

"Like much of the record, 'This One’s Not Going to End Well' is front-porch lazy day music, but with lyrics that underscore the album’s poignant theme of stability in the face of change:"

I think we're in for a reflective, rainy-Sunday-afternoon-type-of album.

I will post reviews I see. Rely no need for folks to post to say they pay no attention to reviews......

Yes, 4 stars, out of a max of 5. The three reviews I have seen have much in common. All three praise the album highly, give high marks, make similar comments on the style, lyrically and musically.

Sounds promising. Keep on posting those reviews. I will make a dedicated review thread for it and move the reviews

I have never heard of a funky train.
Neither have I but there is one, apparently. https://www.discogs.com/release/4761898-The-Poets-Of-Rhythm-Funky-Train  ;)

MK on Rockenteurs podcast from Sunday

https://twitter.com/rockonteurs/status/1770409945818640681

Great news, both Gary and Guy are big fans, in many of their previous podcasts took any tiny chance to mention MK or DS!

And they also chatted with John Illsley when he published his book.

I’ve always admired Guy, what a musician!

It will be interesting to see what subjects will be covered, apart from the TCT project and the new album. Can’t wait!
If I realised that the chances were slim,
How come I'm so surprised when the tide rolled in

They tend to go through the obvious stuff so I expect an hour of Uncle Kingsley, "it had to be red", blowing up the radio etc then a few minutes at the end promoting TCT and the new album.

It's not always the interviewer's fault, somehow Mark can steer ANY conversation into Uncle Kingsley, "it had to be red" and blowing up the radio. He's a master at that!
