To me the ‘real’ STP is the version with One More Matinee and without Do America. From that time I remember this was indeed the initially intended worldwide release. However, US legislation required STP to be labeled with a ‘parental advisory adult content’ sticker because the lyrics of One More Matinee contained the word ‘bitch’. To be categorized this way would be inappropriate for an MK album, so therefore it was decided to replace this track with another song that was recorded but not initially intended to be included on the album.

Interesting! And, conveniently, there was high-paced guitar song named after America lying about  :think

They can use energy for this BS but releasing an album so that everyone can experience all of the songs seems impossible. Also, One Song At A Time will be the last great song MK ever released.

There, I said it.  ;D

There are 23 more songs coming... how can you be so sure?

One More Matinee is such a beautiful tune. And Do America is much better than every DTRW song. The solution for STP was to put in both of those songs (and also Camerado and Let's See You, great tunes in their own right) and throw to the toilet Who's Your Baby Now (a song that goes nowhere and gets old extremely fast) and El Macho, which I consider completely pointless and cheesy. To me  the album has both songs, that’s the album I bought on release day and have listened to ever since!

Again, the fact that we have different albums for this depending on our country is ridiculous!

I even had all STP versions at home, first the European. When I went to the US, I bought the US version and during a visit to London, got myself the UK copy so I sold the US version again and now I got another copy with the box set. :lol You got to be weird as MK music addict. ;D

The new album will be the 2 CD pack for me, no box.

I'm wondering if we will hear a reference of some sort to Big River, the collaboration between Jimmy Nail and Mark Knopfler. It's about the river Tyne after all, the river that's also the main theme of One Deep River.

I really like Big River. Magnificent song!

Big River is indeed a magnificent song, and of course MK's playing adds a lot to the track.

Maybe not the thing to say on an MK forum but for me Big River is a far superior song about the subject matter than My Claim To Fame.
