I listened again and again. I think its One Deep River, that must be an amazing song of what i have heard so far. That guitar bend at 2.41 immediately got me into tears.

Same here; I have already watched it like five times and love it! I still feel just about nothing for "Ahead of the game", but this! Aaah <3 Smiles and tears from me too

They all sound better than Ahead of the Game!

Nice clip! Not that the content or music are that different from the previous EPKs though  ;) But the soundbytes sound promising. And I think because of the noticeably shorter running time than usual the album will feel a lot more cohesive, hopefully with more killers than fillers  ;D

The very first moments sound exactly as if they would coming from any J.J. Cale record, Broken Bones style. I have a fear that this sort of monotonous music will not only appear on Ahead Of The Game...  ;D

P.S.
Wild guess: the first minutes are "Tumnel 13" .. Sounds like a train song anyway.

Apart from the short musical fragments, I really like the way he talks. Really as sharp and as eloquent as always. The Christie's interview was the same, I could listen to him talking this way for hours, also with his calming deep voice. I remember that I had very different feelings about this when the DTRW interview(s) appeared. He obviously was (mentally) not in the same good condition back then as he is now. He should try to get rid of that immense belly though. It's sooo unhealthy..

Announcing a new album 2.5 months before the release date is brutal. I love the feeling of anticipation for new music but at the same time I hate the waiting and hanging on to little snippets like your life depends on it - if you know what I mean. Dusty nailed it comparing it to being thirsty in the dessert...

I'd rather not hear anything until the D-Day but it's impossible not to hear it unless you disconnect from internet.
That being said... I really like what I'm hearing between the lines of talking.
...Well, he's a big star now but I've been a fan of his for years. The way he sings and plays guitar still bring me to tears...

I don't remember how many MK tours I did putting the album listening on embargo until I attended my first gig of the tour.
The excitement of discovering the new songs by hearing them performed live on stage.

The last part about the train leaving, is that One Deep River or another song?

Maybe: Before My Train Comes

One of the bridges over the "Deep River" it's a train bridge, so it can be both songs I guess.

Very nice (intro?) sounds in the EPK. I hope that the atmosphere will continue to the main part. In the last album, there were quite a change between the intro and the rest of song is some of those.

I wonder if the first seconds from the EPK really are the intro of the song, or not maybe the outro..  I like that sound very much too, it was so cool guitar licks. Somewhere it was compared with Early Bird which fits, I earlier said Broken Bones and J.J. Cale style.  I am really curious about this one.

Then the second clip sounds very unusual for me. it is pretty long repeating instrumental, atmospheric sound, almost like something from Local Hero. I wonder what kind of song that will be.

Yes, this part intrigued me too. It's got something from the 80s.

What's that? Guy Fletcher noises?

Sorry, guys. All that i can rear are GF Noises.
The same "pulsar" from Speedway.
That phaser guitar sound like another 'Nobody Does That' or 'Broken Bones' for me.

A wide pallet of songs...
Hmmmm.... sounds like an alert to me.

I'm a hopeful pessimist
