It is very nice, and especially when you have visited Newcastle and its atmospheric waterfront.

That makes about 50 minutes for the main album

Yeah but there are 5 bonus tracks. If the 50 minutes are good I am perfectly fine with this. I watch Tracker always as one album, and that was nearly 80 minutes all in all. I never went for watching some songs as bonus or not. So together with the 5 tracks it will be probably around 70 minutes I guess.

LE

There are 9 bonus tracks in total.

Musically, the new song is good enough for me but it is sad to confirm that he's still plagiaring himself mercylessly some of his old musical ideas, as he did in DTRW. The riff is recycled from 38 Special and the verse is litteraly carboncopied from the verses from The Car Was The One. Put it all in the mixer with a new groove and there you have it.

I love the album cover, it says everything about Mark and his spiritual home.
Knopfler, Oldfield and Gilmour is all the guitar I need.

Looking forward to it but why can't all the songs be available to everyone.I don't have a record player so won't be able to hear those bonus songs legally unless they will be on Spotify or the like. This seems to happen with every release.

Thats because the record are the songs in the main record, the rest are bonus for people who care buying the special editions, like a prize for those fans who spend more money for the product, they got extra songs for that. That's what these songs are for them.

But don't worry, they would be available in a way or another.

Interesting perspective. Not sure I agree.Sure if pay more for a car you get more features but music supposed to be for the fans not to make them pay as much as possible. No reason the second cd couldn't have all the songs and charge £20 .It plays on them knowing fans will want to listen to everything.Anyway it is what it is.

I totally love the picture, it reminds me when I travelled to Newcastle in a very fast trip in 2013 to attend the MK gig (and witness one of the few live versions of 5.15 a.m.) and spent many many time doing pictures of the bridges...

Actually, if you see it carefully, there are betwen four and five bridges in the picture but you can't see them all as they are all behind more or less aligned the way the picture is taken.

The Tyne Bridge is the least impressive for me.  The largest and most recognisable maybe, but nothing remarkable.  The High Level Bridge is a mid 19th century tour de force of engineering.  It carries pedestrians and cars on the lower deck and trains on the upper.  AKA the Get Carter bridge.  Then there's the small, interesting late 19th century swing bridge between them.  Both examples of better engineering and more interesting than just a road bridge.

Ken Bruce has done the right thing and left the BBC.
