We should work out something to make safe that every Get-A-Lifer who wants a copy is able to get one. There are people maybe in big towns with many stores and others who have to drive one hour. (Like me). I will try to get one however. Also not sure if sales are limited for one person.

He is doing so since Shangri-La and the first "real" Box Set that featured the vinyl edition was Get Lucky 15 years ago.

I think that a Mark Knopfler EP will not be the most sought after record of the RSD unless it is kind of 500 copies only run.

There are different Record Store Day formats. The Boy is an "Exclusive" which means that it ONLY can be bought in record stores. Other formats are intended to be made available afterwards but with Exclusives, it's not. So no order possible. However, this is the official meaning. You can still buy many RSD editions from the last years, not only from 2023, and The Honky Tonk Demos were available from Amazon later. Just keep in mind that vinyl is booming and that RSD 2024 could be increasing in demand compared to other years.

I believe you can’t actually order RSD releases…

You can order them online from the shops that sells in Amazon or discogs, but just some days after the RSD days.

I bought the previous DS and MK rsd releases that way.

Only if they have stock left.

It reminds me when Privateering was coming with 20+ new songs.
Now with the new album plus bonus tracks and this EP it’s almost the same.
Looking forward to hear all these new songs

I'm gonna feed the MK fans worlwide from facebook...

Looks weird that this EP is that short, just four songs, when you think MK brought Richard Bennett and Glenn Worf from the USA in purpose, just for four tracks, we know how good they are and how fast goes everything so I don't think they would spend more than two days to record their parts, probably they needed just one day.

We know they are friends but they are session musicians that would lost days of works in the US travelling from the USA to London and back, so it seems rare to me to bring them just for four tracks, maybe they recorded more stuff that is going to remains unreleased?
