I can listen to Palmer's solos without any problem...

Maybe his volume was lower and he hadn't effects or things like the rest, and everyone was playing very loud on stage in this song.

this is a SBD, not an audience recording, there's a major mixing problem here

Ask Guy, the mixer.

If they boycotted Phil Palmer on purpose they are not gonna admit it, I can't think of another reason.
I can't think they casually left him out by error.

Can't imagine at all they did that. That would be ridiculous, besides the solo is there, just not that loud, but that seems normal to me. Let's wait for the other tunes.

I guess Guy just didn't like the solo so got rid of it, like half of Portobello Belle  ;D

Well, not really impressed with any of these new live mixes. I guess the Rainbow and Alchemy mixes are alright, but the mix on I Think I Love You Too Much…to me it’s lacking the punch and energy that the original On the Night mixes have. It’s really not in the same ballpark even. Way too much reverb, too muddy, not enough compression/parallel compression, drum kit balance totally different, MK’s vocals lack the clarity and overall the mix lacks some rock’n roll that this tour still had. But it’s been all the same since Guy started mixing MK’s projects so it’s exactly what you can expect from him.

I totally agree. Ever since Guy got involved, the dynamics of the music have become incredibly weak. The drums sound like they're miles away. There's no emphasis. Of course, that's obviously what Mark wants. It's sad.

I am not getting this impression by any means, for me it totally sounds to OTN.

I think it mixes for advanced audio systems like Spacial Audio or 7.1 systems and so on. It doesn't fit in with the audio systems that most people use and especially not with my AirPods Pro.
If I realised that the chances were slim,
How come I'm so surprised when the tide rolled in
