Any chance all this will be available in video too? A Blu-ray box with all these songs? I guess they have it on camera as well.
I think they only have the original Alchemy master tape, after all the multicam rushes selection and edit. I don't think they still own the camera rushes to make a new film. Otherwise they would have released the complete movie in 2010...

I recall it being scanned from 16mm film for the Blu-ray.

Wasn't the bluray already 4k? I'm lost with formats...

I think the same, they only have the final master tape with final video edition.
The 4K version is from 2010, but they compressed to 1080i to the BluRay edition.
OTN I think it is a digital recording so there will not 4K version, only 1080. It is like PInk Floyd 1988 Delicate Sound Of Thunder (4K restore) and 1994 Pulse (digital recording with limitations, so no 4K).

I've always wondered if the full video still exists...does it exist??

If I had done the expanded  "On The Night"  I would have included the 3 extra songs from the "Encores EP"  on the place  in the set how it was played just as on the orginal video/ dvd release. Then you have a 2,5 hour set on 2 discs  instead of 3 discs how it's now presented.

Disc 1:
1.   Calling Elvis
2.   Walk Of Life
3.   Heavy Fuel
4.   Romeo And Juliet
5.   The Bug
6.   Private Investigations
7.   Sultans Of Swing *
8.   Fade To Black *
9.   Your Latest Trick
10.   When it comes to you *
11.   I Think I Love You Too Much*

Disc 2:
12.   You And Your Friend
13.   On Every Street
14.   Two Young Lovers*
15.   Tunnel Of Love*
16.   Telegraph Road*
17.   Money For Nothing
18.   Brothers In Ams
19.   Solid Rock
20.   Wild Theme

(*) previously unreleased

Rightly! I've never understood the replay of Your Latest Trick on Encores.

Is it true 4K though? I seriously doubt they rescanned the negative.
I actually don't see the point in any case.
Alchemy was filmed in rather poor quality, 35mm. Already on Blu Ray, the grain shows a lot, the DVD looks paradoxally better. I don't think this image will improve by up scaling it to 4K...
It wasn't 35mm, but 16mm

I stand corrected.
All the more, what 4k upscaling can bring to this picture, if not even more grain?

You benefit from a higher resolution if the source material is qualitative enough. In the case of Alchemy, the performance is outstanding, the sound quality is top notch, but the image is poor, nothing much can be done about it, unless you clean the film image by image, which I don't think they are willing to do. Higher resolution just mean that you see the grain even more. If you compare the DVD with the blu Ray, surprisingly the former looks better than the later, because of the grain. Now imagine a 4K UHD version of that... I seriously doubt it will do it any good!

OTN I think it is a digital recording so there will not 4K version, only 1080. It is like PInk Floyd 1988 Delicate Sound Of Thunder (4K restore) and 1994 Pulse (digital recording with limitations, so no 4K).

I think you are confusing "digital" with "video".

Neither "Pulse" or "OTN" are digital but analog video.

Digital video already existed in 1994 but was very uncommon.
Montreux Jazz Festival was among the few to shoot digital at the time.

I think you're right.

Delicate Sound Of thunder was recorded on 35mm, so the restored version is incredible.

Alchemy was recorded on 16mm, so restoration is very limited (and grainy in high resolutions).

OTN and Pulse are SD video recordings, so they can't get the same restoration as DSOT.
