It is weird listening to Industrial Disease after OUATITW and although nice to hear it isn't up to the standards of the original release. It almost sounds like some of it comes from an audience recording. The next song EL sounds much better.
let me know if my hearing is going!

Totally agree !

Check out ID here:https://wetransfer.com/downloads/7b8618997d5ce4ea0b63f8eeac57fbce20231102162131/2315ab and let me know if my hearing is going!

I used to have very nice recording of OUATITW - ID - EL all together, but it got lost after a computer crash. I almost hated myself for losing this recording. Since that day, I always have 6 back ups. :lol

It seems most care went into The Rainbow show and to be fair that does sound the best.
I'll stick to the previous releases of Alchemy and OTN.
Please do not send any messages asking for uploaded content because ID is the only one I'm going to do.
I do hope you all enjoy tomorrow.

Some boxes already delivered

MK's guitar has a TON of delay/reverb during Tunnel and Telegraph solos, some might like it, some others not at all

Overall feeling is not like On The Night,  but just like the I think I love you too much sound on spotify, very dry

Telegraph sounds like the Unknown/Oslo 92 SBD show, I mean same sound, not same show

Well the Rainbow show is only a four piece band so very simple to mix.

Listened all new tracks - Re-enforces beliefs I have had for years. 1. Guy Fletcher is a terrible producer. 2. I really dislike Chris Whitten playing drums.

New Alchemy tracks sound like bootlegs and OTN songs are a mess.

1979 is interesting, needs multiple listens.

Just opinions

"New Alchemy tracks sound like bootlegs"

How to understand?

Now come on woman, come follow me home

A friend of mine told me the same, industrial disease sounds like it comes from a bootleg, vert different to Once upon a time and Espresso love.

Unfortunately you are right

The underlying material is so great that it makes the new OTN still enjoyable
BUT
1) this is really terribly produced
2) lots of microerrors by MK everywhere vs literally zero in the original On The Night,
as if they had to use the only 1 version they had and who cares ...
3) all songs do not sound like the original OTN at all, sometimes very dry, drums often sound crap
4) PensaSuhr in Tunnel OTN is extremely effected which has a very wierd feeling
5) Alchemy ... new songs sound like an audience bootleg more than a SBD, incredible yes

The 1979 record reveals what a ridiculously talented genius drummer Pick Withers was. What a waste... All those great songs could have been played with Pick for years.

I don't want to be critical right now. The '79 recording alone is enough to mesmerize. It's a crime that such important recordings were kept hidden for almost 50 years!

On Industrial Disease it sounds like MK is singing from under the ocean or something. Sounds awful

I did like Tunnel of Love and When It Comes To You! Very cool to hear this rarely played song!
