"Not your typical bonus track"
What do you mean?
For many of the bonus tracks, you kind of can take a good guess why they were thrown away. Like, "Heart of Oak" is too short, just 1.5 minutes, and "Terminal of Tribute To" is obviously too harsh to be put on the main album. But this feels like the main album song. I'll need to take another listen to guess why it was cut.
I have the feeling that it wasnt cut...
Guy said that it was recorded during the DTRW sessions but was mixed recently for the box, so I guess they had so much material that decided lo leave some tracks for the future, unmixed, maybe to be used on other records, maybe to be shelved forever. Think that "Get Lucky" and "Remembrance Day" were recorded during the KTGC sessions but ended on "Get Lucky" record. Maybe they were unmixed and saved for the future, or maybe they were not fully recorded.
The bonus tracks were all mixed for the album, but ended like bonus tracks, others are not even mixed, like this one, and I'm sure there are some other that are recorded, but only the main instruments and they didn't finished the arrangements, this might be a kind of question for Guy, that I'm sure that he would be very happy to explain, if he's in the correct mood.
