Oh wow... I held one of these once. It has a magical sound. I remember once I was learning to play double bass, and we got together with some guys and played "In The Heartland" with two guitars and double bass, and one of the guitars was a National like this. Surely one of the nicest sounds out of a guitar I ever heard, and with slide, it just melts your heart straight away! Pity, it costs like an airplane, literally an airplane, so it's out of the question for 99% of people. Why a guitar like this costs so much? It's a metal pot! The only reason why it's so expensive is that Mark played one of these.
