Someone to help Golden Heart pleaaaaaaaseeeee!

Hmm...  Makes me think that maybe we should be voting for our favourite album and not our least favourite.  :think
Then it’s over in one week!

You can dismiss the one with least votes each week.
But then it would be obvious from the first week? Might as well just have one poll.

Actually we know which one is going to win, despite eliminating one per week, so the result is quite the same.
We didn’t with the DS one, it came down to one vote.
I agree.

Everyone including me thought that the first album would win by a mile (and I voted against it).
So let's see what happens here in the end.

Golden Heart is my second favourite album and I'll be disappointed if it goes but my favorite is still in the race so I keep my fingers crossed and hope for a happy ending ;D

GH isn't my first choice album by a country mile and am not surprised if it does get voted off next...

 :o :o

A few classics on there that have stood the test of time.  Then there's Rudiger...

It's good but it's not Shangri La or  GL though....That may change when I crank the GH Vinyl on later :think

GH is my favourite...

I always had mixed feelings with GH. It has a lot of Straits style songs, some other weird like "Vic and Ray" and I wasn't ready when it came out to have celtic and country songs on a MK record, but all made a nice mix of styles. I had hopes that next MK record would follow the Straits path, that in a way it did, but leaving the country and celtic behind, and with another new style, that was called americana at the time, I didn't liked STP at the time when it came out, I didn't understand what MK was doing. When RPD came out, then I realized what MK wanted to do and saw that he hound his way in the end.

Nowadays I listen to GH more often and enjoy it a lot, but I can't stand the country songs as it's a style he clearly abandoned after that record.

AWITN is a country song, but it has a fantastic end solo.

AWITN finishes way too early, just as MK is letting rip!

Yes it is.
Beautifully played LP End solo.

By the way. Did we ever had Polls with voting the 3 best songs on each Album?
Just came to my mind when I read this.

Merry Christmas! :wave

We got a lot more out of him in the old days; OSAAT fades out just as he starts playing his solo!

Oh yes indeed, I try to crank up the speakers to grab what I can from the end solo of OSAAT before it fades out....

It's going to be sad to see Get Lucky or Shangrila going out. I think that any of them are better than STP, both have what I'd say the Knopfler solo artist pure gene.
