About Calling Elvis, I think it's very interesting that there was never the "standard" live version. 1991 was worked out and extended to be a big opener and to introduce Danny, the NHB versions were stripped down, very jazzy and cool, 1996 again a totally other original and fresh style. 2001 very much changed again, now being very boring, as an opener at least, being followed by Walk of Life
. It seems MK was never really sure about the identity of this song. Or he saw it as an universal piece of music only connected by lyrics and solo. To answer the topic, I liked the 1996 version the most because of its energy, key change and phantastic intro coming from Je Suis Desolé. Very good, as everything in 1996.
