Also, it would be great if we could have this competition for the MK solo albums.

The suggestion of a poll for MK solo albums has already been made and fingers crossed this will happen....
MK solo then another for soundtracks I would suggest.

I’m away this weekend so if someone else wants to start the solo one after this is finished, go for it.

Happy to start the MK Solo album poll when the DS poll finishes...

I think Phil Palmer said in his book that back in the day when things revolved around contracts with record companies you had 20 years to write your first album and 20 minutes to write the follow ups. MK has done really excellent in that regard, every album was memorable, but the first one is kinda special because it started the journey and made it all happen.
LOG is amazing composition-wise but I never liked MK's vocals on this record. Appeared weak and strained for some reason, especially evident on TR. Telegraph Road really came to life in a live circumstances with Alchemy being the ultimate version.

So my vote goes to eliminate LOG. Ha, can't believe it came to that.
...Well, he's a big star now but I've been a fan of his for years. The way he sings and plays guitar still bring me to tears...

My vote went to LOG for pretty much the same reason.   These days I hardly ever listen to the album version of TR, because there are so many wonderful live versions, especially the one from Alchemy.   Also it sounds over-produced to me.   However, I do enjoy the song "Love Over Gold" and "It Never Rains".

Right now it's 22 to 20 in favor of the debut album. Some people have to save Love Over Gold and tie this poll again  8)

LOG had to go for me because of the same reason. I've always preferred the live versions of TR to the studio one. It doesn't get any better.

The original sound is always the original love.

LOG went a long time ago for me  ;D

Same for me... LOG has terrific songs, but it's worst sounding DS Album in my opinion....

It seems to have gone into extra time!   Shouldn't Sunday have been the cut off day?   There's no day & time specified for this round.

The voting should of stopped yesterday (25/10/21) I'll get Dusty to end the poll!

So by my reckoning and by one vote the winner is.....DIRE STRAITS

Thanks KF, but the vote should have been 30 (DS)  33 (LOG) as of yesterday.    ;)
