I've both the UK edition and the 'Album Advance' promo copy and both have 'Do America'
The Promo copy does not have 'One more Matinee' and the 13 tracks are slightly in a different order...

That's because the promo copy is the American one, by Warner, which didn't had One more matinee and had Do  America instead. The European one didn't had Do America and had One more matinee. The UK one had both songs. It was a mess of editions.
So Long

Exactly! It's great that they remembered this song.

Back to What it is and the extra verse on the Mexican release, I'm curious as to why the Mexicans were lucky enough to warrant having the extended version?

And I think this is a one-off episode in the history of DS / MK.

Just a mistake by the record company somewhere along the line.

Huge mistake in my books, I know it's only one verse but once you've heard it, the 'standard' album version just isn't the same!!

Yes, after the extended version I know exactly where they cut the "standard" one. I love the full version so much, never listen to the short one...

no he never sang the extra verse, but he did replace the line "caldonia blues " by "drums beat the tatoo" or vice versa, depends on gigs

I prefer the shorter version. The extra verse sounds creepy.
