And so with just 4 days to go, I'm getting quite excited about going to pick this box set up..
Here is the link to the competition on the main MK webpage...(not sure if any one has posted the link?)  https://www.markknopfler.com/contest/

Wow, just 4 days? Time flies! I'm pretty sure you all will be pleased with the box. Those two first-time vinyls are worth the price of admission!

I was just chatting with my better half tonight about the box set and suddenly realised it is this Friday coming!!! Can't wait to get it now!!!

Am really looking forward to hearing both GH and StP on vinyl and of course the B sides too!!!

Sure, I can understand. However, since I'm not going to get this release, watched the whole video :lol

It was quite nice, though I was surprised when the guy pointed out The Ragpicker and said it was recorded in British Grove Studios.

The first album to be recorded at BG was Razorlight's in 2005. KTGC was the first MK album to be recorded at BG in 2007.

In my memory the first one thing that Mark had recorded at his studio was overdubbing for BB King 80 year album duets, made after gigs in Netherlands  in 2005 (I was there)

I think some of Shangrila was done there, mixing I think, but for sure "All the roadrunning" was mixed in British Grove.

So, on the video he says he has basically done next to nothing to the original albums, as they already sounded great, which is fair enough I suppose.
