So, on the video he says he has basically done next to nothing to the original albums, as they already sounded great, which is fair enough I suppose.

Closet fan I wonder? He was basically saying that a Mark Knopfler record was quality anyway!!

He was very complimentary, but as alluded to by Julio, he's hardly going to say that it's a load of crap!

Are you suggesting that’s an example of money for nothing?

We are getting GH & StP along with the B sides on Vinyl at last! My only gripe is why couldn't GH & StP not also have been 'gatefold' editions?!

Good point. I guess they just couldn't be arsed doing the additional artwork.

Mine arrived today, I'm listening to the B-side record now & it sounds really amazing!

Initial comments from the Steve Hoffman forum are that the lps sound great but the new cds are horribly compressed.

Bizzare, why would they do that? I've got through the B-side record, KTGC & most of SL now. The B-side record REALLY sounded amazing on my system, maybe its the contrast from the digital files I had? It's been a great Friday afternoon & now evening :)

There’s been a load of “brickwalling” over the last 20 years. You would think MK would care about this stuff.

Picked the Vinyl box set up this afternoon from my local 'independant' record store. I was allowed a sneak peek as it's for Christmas from the other half...
Very impressed with the packaging and how well it came packaged...

I can definitely confirm this. I'm currently listen to the B-sides and I'm most impressed with the brilliant sound. Really amazing!
The CD box also came very well packed.

Seriously though it's good to hear they are good!!
