Another Glenn Worf interview

MK part starts around 47 minutes. Glenn also mentions Speedway being the first song he recorded with Mark around the GH session, completely different from the known STP version.

So Glen Worf is not able to remember on which album Speedway At Nazareth was. Shows in a great way how different Musician's minds work compared to die-hard get-a-lifers.

I bet even Mark can’t remember exactly which song appears on which record, as songs get recorded in different versions during different sessions.

I know and we more than once witnessed that in several interview situations. My point was more that these albums and songs are sacred and holy stuff for US and to them its just.. another part of their work. Might explain also the big difference between them and us when it comes to setlist decisions. Most of the songs we want so eagerly to be played might not even be remembered by them.

Funny guy that interviewer. Asking first if Speedway is available as a recording and then later telling that STP is one of his all time favourite albums.

Very good interview by the way, thanks for the link.

Three years ago, an interviewer mentioned "My Parties" to Mark, as it being his favourite song, saying something like: "It was on On Every Street"!
Mark's reply: "I'm not sure!"  ;D

Considering how different is the "secondary waltz" from the early GH sessions to the finally released on ćkill to get Crimson", night and day, I wonder how different is the early version of Speedway.

I also remember Alan telling that MFN was very different during the early rehearsals before they went to Montserrat, that it was a kind of Rolling Stones style, and when cutting the record, MK changed it totally to what we know.

Yes Secondary Waltz is a very good example. From rock'n'roll sketch to a waltz :)
