Let The Music Move
« on: June 24, 2021, 01:47:20 PM »
"To take a van with your gear and perform across Europe is an essential start for the careers of many UK musicians. Without immediate government action to address the bureaucratic barriers put in place since 1 January, a whole generation of musicians will simply not be able to start or continue their touring careers.”

Tough time for musicians, as if it wasn't enough that it's nearly impossible to write new truly original songs, and streaming platforms make absolutely no money for musicians, let's make it so they can't tour as well. Genius!

Mark is talking about bureaucracy, and that's a fact. From little things ( I've been waiting for album from England over 2 months) to concerts.

Time managers earned their money, Crocks especially.  Nothing different from travelling to the US etc.  Of course it makes no difference to Mark or anyone else at the moment anyway.  If he feels so strongly he could always put on a live show in his studio for the fans... lol

Living in Russia, I know everything about bureaucracy. Here you can't even start a microscopic business, right away you'll get so many papers and taxes... For this reason, small business in Russia is almost dead, and small business is the foundation of a good economy...

Anyway, it's great that Mark takes some action, however, still, I'd prefer a video message about the problem, rather than just plain text.
