Cool guitar and sound, but the quality on those is horrendous. I don't care if MK touched it or not LOL

Now let him auction some of the guitars he no longer uses (Schecters for instance). You bet he'd raise good money.

That's unusual. That one isn't going to be signed even. I love how Mark gets rid of completely useless guitars for him while doing some good deeds at the same time. Way to go above and beyond! I think he'll never sell really personal and valuable instruments though.

The guitar in the True Love Will Never Fade video is a Teisco as well, right? Was it the 54’ Strat on the record?

Yes, but a Teisco Spectrum 5. The one up for auction was until now unknown to the public.

Well, it says right in the article that Mark had no time to play or use that Teisco hence he gets rid of it. He's not a collector, I think he mostly uses a couple of guitars for songwriting and then the strict amount of instrument to experiment and to find the right voice for the song when he records it or plays it live. And I love this approach!

He mentioned a figure one time, but I can't remember when, where or what. He's not a collector in a strict sense, but he does have a lot of guitars. People/builders also give him a lot of guitars, both on and off tour.

Now, here's a serious piece of guitar history:

Ry Cooder's original blue Strat, though heavily modified over the years.

Yours for $150,000 ;)

Last time I checked it was something in the neighbourhood of 2K pounds.
