A few years back I met two young guys via the Mark Knopfler fans worldwide Facebook group and we decided to cover Dire Straits/Knopfler songs. We did a cover of What it is, Skydiver and Single Handed Sailor.
Now we are back with a new one! Down to the Waterline:

Being the very first song on a debut album this is an extremely important song, though a bit underrated. This song started it all! And it has elements of jazz, the solo sequence is just insane, cool chords, catchy riffs, great lyrics. Any fan who grew up with Dire Straits would probably listen to this song a lot just because it's the first one. And it's super enjoyable to play! I thought about recording my version of it in a form of a duo, but none of my playing friends would play either solo or rhythm right, so it remains unplayed for me.

This was fantastic! Perfect balance between sticking close to the original and adding your own personal touches. I also think your voice is spot on. Very similar to Mark's, and the way you sing feels natural, not like a charicature or a parody. Really well done.
