Very nice emotional version.  Still miss the Fender sound but the emotion won me over.  Liked this.  :thumbsup

Same, I loved it!

I was honestly a bit underwhelmed. And the guitar is not in tune with the keyboards!

True, but of course Mark is not a particularly young now, so we'll forgive almost everything by this point. Another story is that I can't imagine him doing another tour, as he said he will play live untill he falls over.

Me neither. And I really hope he stops before he falls over.

"I was honestly a bit underwhelmed. And the guitar is not in tune with the keyboards!"

I think it may be your ears that are slightly out of tune.

Beautiful version, perfectly tuned.

Nope, something is definitely not in tune.

Plus once again it's clear that practicing the guitar is not Mark's top priority. He really lacks the flow he used to have.

Exactly. The only slight blemish I could hear was at approximately 2.03 where mark plays a tiny bum note, hardly noticeable.  Other than that it was spot on.

I think you can tell that there is some physical struggle in his playing, but its perfectly understandable and in fact to me enhances rather than diminishes the emotional impact of the music.

Great point!!
Just to see MK playing with the World on its knees was poignant and very much welcomed...
I also feel this version was extra special, MK tries some new licks and there is some experimentation that sounded fantastic.

I didn't say he made any mistakes, but there is indeed a physical struggle, and I'm curious why that is. Is it lack of practice, or is it age taking its toll? At any rate - to me - I don't think this was noteworthy version. Others disagree, and that's OK.

You're a musician - you didn't register the tuning issues either? I hear it particularly during the first, quiet part. Like the guitar is a tad sharp.

I`m sorry, but it seems that your ears sometimes are not tuned to Mark`s music,
otherwise you would have enjoyed this every emotionally version of Local Hero.  ;)
