Yes, but Sturgill is better than the pensioner. :)
I’ll let you know, I’ve got tickets to see him at Hammersmith Odeon (Alchemy). I love a bit of country. My favourite country artist Hayes Carll has a new album coming out with a band called The Heathens. The 2 songs Ive heard are great.

I think you’ll enjoy it. He’s not strictly country. I don’t know how I’d describe him. Lots of different styles, a bit like MK (but not anything like MK :) )

i heard rumours that more shows are planned for 2025. but got no further details. keep your hopes up, Rmarquest821, HIGH HOPES

With these prices I don't mind if he spends the next years playing live with non stop, not too much people can afford to pay 150 euros for crap tickets and more than 300 for the best seats.

Ticket prices are ridiculous these days. In a way I'm pleased that MK stopped touring, would have really annoyed me if he would have gone down the dynamic pricing route.

Fortunately the artists I like seem to be sensible. Got tickets for Sturgill Simpson today, £37 each (£45 after all the service charge nonsense).

I've booked tickets for Transatlantic Sessions for £39.75  and also for John McCusker, Mike McGoldrick and John Doyle for £21.50, both next February.   :)

Oh wow, that sounds exciting - enjoy!

he was never the speedy notes trasher. he IS the feels man. and still is imho. the nights are progressively getting better. Greenies left and right, sure, but the man is 78 after all. i would LOVE mk still playing today, even if it was greenies only.
most of what i have seen/heard is amazing. are there mistakes, sure, but i do not want a "clean" performance.
any Knopfler, Floyd or Dylan will do....
