having never seen DG before I was blown away. Can’t believe he is 78. He played many of my favourite PF songs. The new stuff was fantastic as well.

so glad to hear that. i find that both MK and DG are so "compatible" in their playing, that it makes TOTAL sense being an absolute fan of both.
seen him 2 times to date (roger 2 times, Nick 3 times and floyd once - i am a gilmour boy, clearly not a roger boy)
any Knopfler, Floyd or Dylan will do....

I would love to see DG live, but I missed the presale of the tickets and got stuck with tickets at 3500$. Plus travel and accommodation, we're talking 5000$ for a concert. A bit too much for me

With these prices I don't mind if he spends the next years playing live with non stop, not too much people can afford to pay 150 euros for crap tickets and more than 300 for the best seats.

Ticket prices are ridiculous these days. In a way I'm pleased that MK stopped touring, would have really annoyed me if he would have gone down the dynamic pricing route.

Fortunately the artists I like seem to be sensible. Got tickets for Sturgill Simpson today, £37 each (£45 after all the service charge nonsense).

I've booked tickets for Transatlantic Sessions for £39.75  and also for John McCusker, Mike McGoldrick and John Doyle for £21.50, both next February.   :)

Thats a rip off, I only paid £35.50 per ticket for DG. Including all stupid charges. 🫣

Yes, but Sturgill is better than the pensioner. :)

But that wasn't a proper concert, just a production rehearsal with public.

I’ll let you know, I’ve got tickets to see him at Hammersmith Odeon (Alchemy). I love a bit of country. My favourite country artist Hayes Carll has a new album coming out with a band called The Heathens. The 2 songs Ive heard are great.
