Episode 5
Robert Lee McCoy - Friar's Point Blues

It's great that Mark returns often in stories to the early days Dire Straits. I love it:)

Literally every time Mark returnes to the days of Dire Straits in his programme you can tell that he has really a lot to say and can't even stop himself of telling tales. Another glimpse of hoping for a biography book from MK...

Bill Frisell - Shenandoah (For Johnny Smith)

I think when you hear playing like that you don't really listen critically so much as appreciatively. You're not listening for mistakes or anything like that. I think it's more in admiration of the total picture, the grasp of the total picture and the way that the artist is just appreciating the piece. Try to send it down the road the best way you know how, off to school in decent shoes...

Beautiful and important words.

Well, I just LOVE comments like this. Not a lot of words, but boy, it sends shivers down your spine.

That last track by Merle Haggard sounds a lot like Are we in trouble now. Perhaps the melody? Dunno maybe it’s just me

I listen to the broadcast with great attention. I love it. Mark Knopfler knows a lot about music. The history of rock and roll is great.

I'm waiting for episode 23 and I believe there will be more :)

ps. Bruce Springsteen has his shows too

Great, thank you! Looks like Mark decided to punch those, who loves Spotify, becasue this time 2 tracks are not on Spotify! It happend only twice before and here twice more in a single episode. So far just 4 tracks are missing from the playlist and it's good for me, don't know about you.

A great jazzy start, then Mark did something I can't understand — playing songs from the albums he played before, as if we haven't listened to the whole album already. Come on, Mark :lol
