First off, I have the feeling that Mark is getting more and more comfortable at his "new job".
Again he presented a great variety of good music and I enjoyed his storytelling.
He said "Variety is the spice of British Grove Broadcast". That`s how it is.  :thumbsup
There`s so many good music out there that I haven`t heard before and I cannot imagine a better guide
than Mark Knopfler to show me around.  ;)

Yes, guys, I feel you. Don't know what we'd do without this show honestly. Absolutely love the Randy Newman story and this song of The Everly Brother I never heard before. Mark got me, again, what a magician.

I have the feeling that the show is growing better episode by episode. Now the first and second seems boring in comparison...

He sounds more and more comfortable.

It feels good to realise Mark actually resembles the person I though he was:  Open-minded, eclectic, interesting, passionate, calm, clever and humourous. He has his many defects, to be sure, but he is a well of science as far as music is concerned.

Very good broadcast in these dire times.

Yes indeed, MK is getting very used to 'presenting' now! So amazing!!

Great episode again, especially liked the Isaac Alexander song. Anyway, very nice to have this show as a weekly beacon in these dire times. Hope it will continue for quite a while, fingers crossed!

I hope it continues too! Best Ep so far I think! Great variety of music introduced by the one and only! ;)
I hope the BGBC Spotify playlist will be updated sometime soon! ;D

Wonderful episode! Love how Mark talks about the Everly’s, you can really tell how dear their songs are to him. And we’ve got a good part of the story that is in the lyrics of Two Skinny Kids as well, still hoping that gem will see the light on a proper release sometime. On the other hand I have a hard time believing Mark really digging that hip hop stuff, to me that just sounds more like he’s trying not to come across as an old dude stuck in the past.

I don't think so, because as an old saying goes, there's good music and bad music... I know good rap albums, hip-hop album and even good metal albums, though I hate metal with all of my heart. Could you call Gorillaz bad hip-hop? I don't think so. It depends on various factors... This particular track by The Roots is so groovy and bluesy, the song itself sounds like Mark would want to do it, except for the vocal bit of course :lol No instance of bad music so far in his jukebox.

Too bad only that he used this censored version.....
