The preview clip sounded awesome, but I'm unable to download the programme audio for some reason....

I liked everything he played, the first album by Fruit Bats is insanely good. I love contemporary music, a lot of really good albums out there, I’m more interested in that rather than in the old stuff.

I agree, very interesting to hear how in touch he is with current music, new records & artists. We all know the classics by now ;-)
Hope this show continues for quite a while, otherwise he could start making Spotify-recommendations-playlists!

Totally agree. Finally heard Knopfler talk about another favorite Mr. Springsteen.  :) :thumbsup    and the Fruit Bats song really, really good. I put it op on speakers as I have a few Knopfler fans among my collegues.

Thanks again.

Somebody mentioned that Mark has a perfect voice for radio and it's true. I love listening to his interviews because of his astonishingly good calming voice, very relaxing experience. Also, I love the jokes, little touches like this washboard thing and "last shot got him" was brilliant. The man seemingly was born for the radio :lol

Just listening to almost half of the show and I have to say that it explains very very well, regarding the nowadays music he played, the music he's doing.

The radio show itself it's good, I hope that the next episodes are better, probably he started feeling a little shy doing it .

Exactly my thoughts. Some of the songs could be MK songs.

Listeners can tune in every Wednesday or On Demand to hear tracks from artists such as Sharon Van Etten, Yo La Tengo, Jenny O., Bob Dylan, John Prine, Joni Mitchell, and Los Lobos, among others. Pandora will also release special playlists echoing the music and themes of the show.

This weekly one-hour show celebrates his love of radio, influential artists, and music discovery as he introduces audiences to tracks that they may not have heard before. With each program, audiences will be treated to Knopfler’s musical knowledge and share in his joy for all kinds of music.
