Have to agree that i'm also not 100% that it's Mark.
If no one else on this VERY knowledgeable forum knows where it comes from, then perhaps that is proof that it's not Mark.

Just listened again. The more i listen, the more i'm doubting it's Mark.
I don't know anything about guitars, but there does seem to be a few bits that don't quite sound right if you know what i mean. :-\
It would be great to be proved wrong though. :)

This is definitely NOT Mark! At the beginning it sounds quite similar but as the song progresses you can clearly hear the differences in style and guitar sound. 1:08, 02:30 and 03:06 particularly. Could be a slightly distorted LP picked with fingers - but it's not Mark. Nice tune, though!

Isn't this just the outro of are we in trouble now? :-\ This is similar:

So it's not Mr. Knopfler... The organ sound doesn't sound if it were GF, JC or MR either.

Where does this say that this is Mark Knopfler? "MK" could be some guy that plays guitar in his basement for all we know.

It has some similiarity with the melody from Done with Bonaparte. I think it is the same kind of guy who put "GET LUCKY" at amazon, this 34 sec clip from a guy from Spain some months ago I remember. I also think this sounds quite boring and has a quality that Mark Knopfler never would release.

Being a connoisseur of Mark's music, i feel a bit embarrassed that i even thought this was Mark.
I think the fact i was listening to it with a bottle of white wine inside me hopefully excuses me.
I was a bit drunk, and got a bit excited that i might of found an un-discovered Knopfler song. :o

Cheers   BBB :)
