Show guests: Paul Franklin, Vince Gill, Emmylou, Jason Isbel, Tim O’Brien, Chuck Ainlay, David Conrad, Paul Kennerley to name but few. 

Imagine the encore jam if MK had invited his guests on stage! The first three mentionned could make any concert become memorable.

I absolutely don't get it. So many great people there, and you don't invite them on stage to play a few songs but just play the same setlist you've been playing for a whole tour. Unbelievable.....

when that happened in the past (2001...) they rehearsed the song during soundcheck, but it's needed, obviously, that MK asked them to join him, and now, that doesn't happen. Too much work going out of the comfort zone.

Mark has no obligation to ask some of his guest to play with him, we can regret it but using words like "Unbelievable" or "scandalous" is way too much IMHO.

Of course he is not obligated. Thats why he doesn't invite anyone to guest, lol

It's not an obligation but a mattter of enjoy playing live with friends that usually dont play with as they live very far from you and coincide with them is difficult.

It shouldn't be an obligation but a pleasure.

But lazyness is stronger than anything else.

I would not say Mark is a lazy person. Not so long ago he was still playing 6 nights in a row.

He may behave on a lower scale than some of us expect from him but nobody here has full knowledge of how well or bad Mark really is despite his Diva aspect.

Frustration is not a good fuel for posting on a forum.
