My idea of heaven is a place where the Tyne meets the Delta, where folk music meets the blues.

Any other Amiters attending the most expensive show on the tour? Pit seats were $593 a seat, through MK.com...............

If I realised that the chances were slim,
How come I'm so surprised when the tide rolled in

Almost 600 dollars. That's just wrong. For that price, you ought to get VIP perks.

And for 15 song setlist only... 600 USD is crazy.

For that money I got 2 nights at hotel with 2 beds, subway costs, 3 front row tickets and nearly covering the regular train tickets  :o

Wonder how many actually paid for this show?

A friend of mine was there and paid more less, actually a normal price, but he wasn't close to the stage... anyway it was a theatre so, far from the stage is close!

The pit seats were $593, the rest of the venue (sold out btw) was more normally priced. What is really interesting to note, was that the ticket stub itself said $503, yet MK.com sold them for $593.... Not sure where that markup came from. The venue itself is wonderful, one of the smallest on the tour, and there is plenty of wonderful places to grab a bite to eat within walking distance. A very vibrant few blocks there. There were a group of 10 or so people that gathered when Mark arrived, but he scurried out of the vehicle with his back turned, and didn't acknowledge them at all. A few minutes later however, St. Pete came out to gather items to be signed. He refused a few things from people that he didn't think were items appropriate for an autograph, and a national guitar (very apologetically). I was lucky enough to get my painting signed. This is the first show I have personally attended this tour, so I don't have a lot to compare it to other than recordings and videos, but Mark looked tired last night. That having been said, I felt his playing was more on point than a lot of previous shows. There was a funny moment when Mark had just struck the first note to I think HFOH, and got some terribly low frequency feedback. He stopped playing, went "whoah" and then hummed the feedback note for a moment,  then gave it another go.  No 'finger of death' for all the phones that were up. The set was disappointingly short for the price, but I am sure the show was a runner. The crowd, while certainly not the crowd I am used to, was surprisingly respectful, and very energetic. The whole venue remained standing for the first three or so songs, and sssshhhhhh'd people when Mark was talking. Not one person yelled anything that I could hear from up front. There was dancing too. Everyone went crazy when he sang "And we went on to Indianapolis, Indiana, in May" and heard a group further back scream when he sang "and in June up in Michigan", obviously this and Chicago being the closest shows to the skipped this tour Michigan. I was also lucky enough to secure a US lithograph. Word of warning for those that don't know, they don't set very many out per night, so get there early if you want one. They started the night with only 11. I got one of the last ones 30 minutes after doors opened.

The marquee pic is borrowed from Instagram, but the pics of Mark I took:
