I was there; a very emotional affair as I'm pretty sure this will have been the last time I've seen him live in concert.
Before the concert, I saw them in the catering area - they really seem to enjoy hanging out together.
As for the concert itself, nothing I could complain about except maybe the lack of more new songs in the setlist. If this is his last go-around, though, I understand that he wants to cast the net as widely as possible and include songs from a multitude of albums. Once Upon a Time, Matchstick Man, Heart Full of Holes and Speedway were highlights for me - and Piper to the End, which I love. I'm glad he played it instead of So Far Away. There couldn't possible be a more fitting song to end such a concert.
Oh, and the "goodbye speech" wasn't officially a goodbye. "I think I should retire", he said - "but I enjoy it so much. At some point, I'll just fall over like this." He held up his hand and let it drop.
