I am consumed with fury!!!!    It is quite obvious that this reporter knows absolutely nothing about music, let alone MK, so WHY on earth was he sent to report on this gig!  >:(

lol, pretty funny. I didn't really have too much of a problem with it but I've got a thick skin, I've been reading reviews like that of MK's work in the UK press for the last 20 years.

Absolutely.  A completely biased and uninformative piece of writing from a reporter who was obviously bored.  A reporters job is to report on the facts, not let his/her personal opinion influence the report in any way and from reading this report it is obvious that this reporter is not a fan of MK's music.

Except this isn't really a report, it's a review, so it has to be subjective, otherwise all reviews would be 5/5. If he was just reporting the facts it would be pretty boring:

"Mr Knopfler played Why Aye Man. Then he played Sultans of Swing, except he used a different guitar."

I'm amazed people are so bothered about this, MK's been getting sniffy reviews like this for ages. What I can't understand is why a journalist, from the Financial Times of all publications, was there in the first place. I thought it was supposed to be a promo gig for competition winners.

I read through the review very briefly, what I got from it was enough to make me angry.  How could he have the audacity to write something like that.  May be one of us should write a comment to him about his poor review.  I gave him 0 out of 5.  >:(

It looks like Allen aded the translation in english of the Ran cronicle several times and it was too much information to be loaded for the server at the same time, as the error was just in that torrent...
