How was Mark not singing a few lines meant to give him a rest anyway 
strange comment.
Actually that comes from something MK always says about himself, that he's very lazy.
Then, the usual comment when MK does something that fans don't like is that he's lazy and that he does it to rest a little more like:
- he adds more and more musicians so they carry the weight of the song and he has to play less
- he plays with a kemper and a lot of distortion so he can play less and louder to hide his mistakes
- he has Danny singing the duet in STP so he has to sing less
and go on go on...
I recognize I used that lazy thing sometimes when talking with fans, just to joke.
