There's a lot of guitar music these days, just not in the charts.

Guy said on his Dr F page that the set was shorter in Luxembourg because it was an standing audience and HFOH doesn’t fit to a standing audience...
Why not play a rockier tune instead ???
They got a name for people like you, yeh they do
And they got a name for people like me too

True. One of the exceptions. But as we move away from the charts, there are tons of great guitarists. Blake Mills, Derek Trucks, JD Simo to mention some younger guys.

I guess because this is an absolutely ridiculous idea for them... This way they can go earlier to their magic carpet.

Ssh...the critic police are on patrol!

I am sure they wanted to but he is 70.  We should be grateful etc etc.  :lol

Really there is no other reason that end earlier...

If Guy was right and that was the reason, they could had played "Piper" and "Brothers", but not, they just played "Piper", they could had rescued "Nobody does that" and play it instead of "Heart full of holes", or they even could had premiered "Back on the dance floor" or "trapper man" instead but... if you just drop one song and don't play anything instead... that means you can finish before and go out earlier.

There is no other reason. Just that.

Indeed, they also could have played Silvertown as the 'rockier' tune.

GF: There is no curfew affecting Antwerp or Amsterdam. There are very few of these instances and for last night’s show in Luxembourg, we dropped one song, deemed to be unnecessary for a standing audience. If we were to be ecologically conscious, we would not be touring at all.

No curfew in Antwerpen... Looks like it will gonna cost you a beer in Amsterdam  ;D  :lol

Is tonight the smallest venue of the Tour?

I'll bet there may be a few in the US to lay claim to that.   :think

Woodinville Winery perhaps?

Ok!

Maybe not.  You might be right!  Just thinking out loud.  :)

Likely 2,800 capacity tonight.  Pretty small.
but an amazing sounding hall. with a great restaurant next door!
any Knopfler, Floyd or Dylan will do....
