OK, a first swing at "Never Felt Better". As before, more to the spirit (pun intended!) rather than accuracy of the words and a few lines I am really unhappy with are in { }. So any stabs at alternative lyrics would be greatly appreciated.
[spoken] (Mac): What happened?
(Iain): There was beer and wine and whisky
(Ownie): And whatever truth be told
(Both): They may have all been mixed together
(Netta): And with all the drink and dance and laughter
(all): You might think we’d have to face the morning after
(Viktor): With the mother and the father of a piss up there will always be
(all): The things you don’t remember
(Ownie): Last night wouldn’t scratch the surface {of some parties I’ve been to, that’s certain}
(Rhona): {There was banter and rapport}
(Iain): And nothing untoward
(Ownie): If the lady ever complains, I never met her
(Viktor): It was a very quiet night
(Mistress Fraser): Not a piss artist in sight
(all): Never felt better
(Iain): Hangover?
(all): Give over. No way
(all): Never felt better than today
(all): Now, we’ve been on some binges
(all):{With no thought given about which has been the best one}
(Netta): We’ve had some mighty celebrations with libation
(all): {And there will always be the next one}
(Rhona): Some of us held up rather well
(Iain): The regulars
(Viktor): The clientele
(all): Fulfilled every expectation to the letter
(Ownie): It was a pretty quiet night
(Netta): And we’re perfectly alright
(all): Never felt better
(Iain): Hangover?
(all): Give over. No way
(all): Never felt better than to - [Rhona throws up] – day
[everyone else throws up]
