I think Golden Heart is quite a nice song, not amazing, but nice. Mark's voice is horrible on it, and I can imagine someone with a good voice, Vince Gill for instance, would serve it a lot better.

Suffered from what I'd call 'classic Knopfler vocal drop out' if you know what I mean. Bet he could do it far more justice now....

Each to their own, I adore the song, I think it is one of Mark's best love songs. But the whole album is special for me.
