That was just the floor and one of the sides, this is the other side...

I know this place is big and that the show is on more than a month time but, not even in the biggest places in Europe there were so many seats available one month and some weeks before...

Do you think it's even possible they cancel it? They might play in a place with too much empty seats!

The pic you show has curvature that is NOT consistent with floor seating (all floor seating starts with 90 degree angles).  This is already on risers; not floor.  I don't think there is any cause for alarm.

I think that there’s no way they cancel. Now that it’s booked they have to pay for the arena whether it’s cancelled or not. They’re already going to take a loss on this show, but cancelling would mean an even bigger loss. I’m still not sure why they decided to do this last show. They’re already playing in New York twice during the tour. Why didn’t they just finish the tour in LA? Maybe they have some special guests planned for Mark’s final show, other than Bonnie of course. In a way it’s kind of sad that there’s such poor attendance for Mark’s final show.....maybe ever.

Ticket prices, even for New York, must be one of the major causer of such a poor sale.

As far as I understand, the show is a sellout. In the US people go to Ticketmaster, Stubhub, etc. for RESALE of tickets. Someone that paid let's say $100 for a ground level seat in the middle, is trying to resell it for $350 or so. That's it. As the concert gets closer, prices start dropping to the point that most seats are taken. I have been to two Dire Straits concerts in the Garden, as well as many others, such as The Police, Eric Clapton, Tom Petty, Billy Joel, Rod Stewart, Elton; they are ALWAYS sold out! Believe me, it will be sold out easily.

ps. whoever is going as well as to this week's show at the Beacon, lets meet up

The resale tickets are marked in red, the rest are empty seats nobody bought, and they are a lot!

I don't know anything about US concerts, but the MSG is fairly large. I couldn't find much info on wikipedia on attendances, has there been 20k+ attending any shows during the past tours, especially overseas?

Or if they had chosen John Illsley as the guest star for that show instead of Bonnie Raitt... That's like Dire Straits, the closest!

Looks like the prices are a little lower now...

Personally can't wait for this show! Our first visit to NYC and potentially MK's last big one so hopefully the sales pick up!

I also saw Bonnie Raitt did this year a series of concerts supporting James Taylor and during the encores, she played with him some songs:
