I would like to do what Pottel would  do. (kissing his pics all day? ) may be in private.  On second thought , probably not.  I guess I'll just dream about meeting him in person one day ! I'll stare into those dreamy eyes and dream beyond my wildest dream.

There is a link to website put up by one member on markknopfler.com under general Mark's chat where fans can actually send MK a personal birtday messages.  I've composed a nice little poem for him. I'll make it big and bold so he'll notice it.

MK's music will forever be a BIG BIG .BIG...................part of my life.  Thank you Mark for everything you've given to your fans !!

I do of course wish MK a very happy birthday.

But I have to be honest and say there's part of me that's a little sad. MK has been a big part of my life for a long, long time, and the fact that he is now eligible for a pension and a bus pass just makes me feel old myself.

That said, my other hero is Clint Eastwood, and he has probably made his best work since turning 60. So it's good news that MK is still so prolific and working harder than ever.

Could not have said it any better... Eastwood is indeed my other hero although not the same as MK lol

Hi all

Shoaib, I managed to get into the forum, had a bit of trouble with activation when I was registering into this forum.  But now I'm in so I can wish a Happy Birthday to the beautiful Sultan of Swing himself.  Hard to believe that Mark is 60!!!!

Well today I had a business as usual day, housework, hairdresser and pursuing my three-year-old daughter.  But I must remember to bake a cake and take it to work, to mark the milestone - mark the Milestone for Mark, haha.
