Very nice album. Usually i am very critical with compillation albums, specially with those ones made of outakes. I think that if one song is not launched since the beginning, must be some reasons.
However, i enjoyed it to much. There are a main sound that i like much in JJ Cale, the Garage-style sound without so much arrangements. I love this kind of naked songs, like demos. Also i like the "soft" approaching of the naif and chiché lyrics kind of "my baby left me oh i´m feeling bad" or "I´m going to downtown yeah rock and roll"... Well, you know what i mean. Shuffles are great, the type of rhmth that a JJ fan search in his music. I use to say that if JJ played Heavy Metal, his music still would sound soft and not aggresive. About the solos, all are excellent. Even i have discovered a couple of new favourites. The nostalgic feeling is also strong in this one, because is nedless to say that it won´t be another JJ album.
Honestly, i think that this album is much better than some of his pevious albums, specially the ones in the late eighties and nineties. Just my 2 cents.
