What a night !
I got 2 new experiences:
1/audio live streaming...
2/I initiated the run of bulls, and was the first one to reach the spot just below MK, where I watched MFN, BIA and GH. That was something.

I love the setlist, I of course would much prefer to have TR, but after all I heard it a lot before, which is not the case of most songs played now. I actually love all live renditions, except NDT and CBC which are skippers.

Talking about NDT, what they did tonight was cruel. When I noticed it was skipped, I was joyful, given false hope that it would be replaced by either something new, or at least Silvertown back.

I fully respect that MK wants to shorten the show sometimes, hey, he gave us 2.10 hours tonight, which is still quite long ! But why on Earth he chooses to skip Silvertown, which is a 18-year overdue jewel that everybody loves and is well played, instead of the dull CBC that nobody would miss, is beyond my comprehension. Any clue anyone ?

Anyway, I look at the bright side of things, and I am still very happy that I have attended Barcelona for TR and SB, and these two french shows for BIA. Next one for me Strasbourg !

PS: I convey a message from ds1984. When he comes back here, he will be very touch on the moaning :)

When does the running of the bulls usually happen? I'd like to be prepared for Berlin  8)
It happens when someone decides when it should happen. In Toulouse, this someone was me. It was a very exciting feeling, to be first in front of Mark and see thousands of people following you :) my recommendation nowadays is end of Speedway, when the crowd is excited enough, but the band is not yet off stage. The band is your friend, Guy said they like the run of bulls, in case of stupid security the band can signal them to back off, so it is important that they are still there !

Okay thanks! Yes the bull running is pretty cool. I think I‘ve started it once or twice too, been following Mk for a while  :) It‘s always exciting and you never know which spot in front of the stage you get. And the best reward is looking at all those beaming faces around you. It usually happens after TR but since it‘s not certain he‘ll play that one in Berlin I thought I‘d ask. Speedway sounds good. My seat is in the middle of row 6 so that could be a little tricky. But I‘ll just run everybody over  ;D

Hopefully it returns soon... Or have I missed the news that it's confirmed removed permanently? :o :o :o

I like Mark singing "Geeetah" Not sure the brass section are on Money For Nothing though, it is a straight rock song!!! More importantly, why has Mark just got one shirt this tour? did he forget to pack another one?

I agree, I'm not liking the brass too much full stop, can't stand the brass on WAM....
A bit out of place on MFN, but I definitely love it on WAM, gives a lot of punch. Best version since 2002 !

Yeah, I quite like the brassies on WAM but it just kills Speedway.  It's always the same when Mark introduces a new member; they are slotted into songs where they don't fit.  Square pegs in rounds holes.  Memories of Paul Franklin on BIA and MFN etc.

Oh man, that pedal steel solo on Brothers in Arms on On the Night is thé best piece of music ever recorded, IMHO!

I'll be seeing Mark for the first, and probably last, time at the 02. If I had to pick a single tune to take to a desert island it would probably be Telegraph Road, so I really hope he plays it, but I'll take whatever I get.

Well, you could kidnap him, give him a guitar and amp and force him to play it to a backing track for ransom....

I'm probably the only one right?  ::) ;D ;D ;D

WAM had a truly interesting outro.

I though the same.

Only 15 song setlist tonight?  :o

This is unfair, they should play an average at all venues, people paid a lot of money, some get 18 songs, some get 15?

Don't want to moan but this is a bit frustrating... :thumbsdown

Unfair?

This is still a 2 hours+ show!

More or less, yes. If you take off TR that is about 15 minutes and put Brothers that is something more than 5, you loose 10 minutes of show... then add that Silvertown is gone, add another 5/6 minutes less...

Very unfair when you look at the setlist of Barcelona and discover the fact you've had a much shorter show and missed out on SB and TR.

Thank you.

I had time to land and it was good to stay away from the Internet a little bit.

If I have to moan about something it is about the people behind me that where speaking, joking, laughing out LOUD and literally fucking the WAM outro for me...

For the rest the show was enjoyable - of course the SB dropping is not but Mark plays better than in Barcelona. You can't get everything.

Regarding the brass and some others  when being seated upfront we have to take in account that they are "acoustic" instrument and we get them direct so what we are hearing is somewhat an unmixed source compared to the people seated at the back. From where I was the night before, Danny on DWB was so loud in Bordeaux...
