just 2 songs from an album you are supposed to be touring behind is a bit unusual imo.

I don't think Mark tours to promote an album as such, it is just another part of what he does, his albums always sell anyway, so he doesn't need to promote them with a tour, he just likes to play live after an album. For him, it is record an album, rehearse the band, then play live. He writes all the time so that is not included in this process.
Knopfler, Oldfield and Gilmour is all the guitar I need.

NDT, SB, CBC ...  :hmm Would you mind spelling out song titles? You're just saving an avarage of 3 seconds per post, while being hugely disrespectful to the lyrical genius of MK. Mark Knopfler, I mean. Thanks!  :wave
There is no disrespect whatsoever to MK in using abbreviations, but there is in your judgemental way to talk to your fellow forum members.
Next time you want a request to be fulfilled with any chance of success, why don't you ask nicely ?

It would be if this wasn't the last tour so normal rules don't apply.
He will thrill and disappoint every night so just enjoy it because there will be a LONG time without any shows.

But I dont want to be a part of a forum that consequently are just negative and rude to our hero.
It makes no sense to me.

You are throwing the baby out with the bathwater here. Although some are moaning a bit (looking at you dmg), I feel the overall tone is very positive, and it's a lot better than it has been before. I don't find anyone being rude. Some are disappointed. Some criticize. Some poke a bit of fun. But everything is within limits. And I actually find it quite healthy that it is not all blind admiration, as if Mark were a god or something.

The good news is that from next week we will have the recordings to moan about as well:)

Better stock up on canned food and protective clothing, because there's a sh*tstorm coming!

It's less noticeable on the Poupystar version.  The second one was much nearer the front near Mike, so it would be more noticeable.   :)

Anyway, apart from Mike's cowbell, I loved MK's performance!   :)

I like Mark singing "Geeetah" Not sure the brass section are on Money For Nothing though, it is a straight rock song!!! More importantly, why has Mark just got one shirt this tour? did he forget to pack another one?
