man the first show setlist was great, we are going in the wrong direction

No TR and No Silvertown is unacceptable to me

still, the man does not need your permission. also, is there truly nothing you would prefer to hear instrad of TR again? say.....TOL?

I think it is without doubt there is something wrong with his health, and more than just his back. He is not comfortable most of the time, and I still think there is something not right about the way his guitar sits on his body now, and it is not a bigger belly, it has been this size before. I hope it is nothing to serious, but with this being the last tour, you never know

Brothers in Arms makes a lot good! But atleast they should have kept Silvertown... I really would love to hear that one live and they played it really nice .

I still think if it comes to Marks playing, the TR versions where really good this tour, yeah shorter end solo but with good and a lot of energy and he did some really nice licks.. atleast thats what I thought  . With BIA you hear him struggeling even much more in the end solo, the rest he played nicely . So no idea where the choices come from .

Still I really like the setlist... if he dicides to really drop TR. Then atleast leave BIA and Silvertown in . Or yeah OSAAT is ofcourse also welcome, but he could play that instead of postcards?! 

Exactly, TR is way better in this tour than the 2 previous ones, people saying TR is beyond his capabilities have no idea what they are talking about

Only the 8th show and he kicks out SB and TR...
Variation is good but it can't be on the best tracks.

Moan as much as you like please. We have made a point and a rule about "'moaning" a long time ago. Some people have just not the ability to stand the truth and call it negativity immediately as soon as a critical or let's just say.. A DIFFERENT THOUGHT is uttered. A forum without different opinions looses its right to exist, it's what a forum is made for. If those people who still live in their bubblegum world (and say Move on at every occasion as they want to avoid more discussion) can't stand different opinions, it's their problem, not yours. It's a question of maturity to handle different opinions. I totally get where you are coming from and agree to what you say as I know WHERE it is coming from and from what point of view. From a heart full of holes so to say.

He has the guitar strap higher up, which is much easier on your wrists and hands. You don't suddenly start having the guitar strap in a very different position after 40 years of playing unless you have to.

I know he does, I noticed that from the first gig clips, I think the fact it is in a different position is contributing to his playing, of course he still has the ability, you don't suddenly loose that, I can go 3 months without touching my guitar, but then pick it up and play The Long Highway without thinking, and I am no Mark Knopfler!!! He is doing his best in his current situation, and I respect and admire him for that, it could have been just as easy for him to have said the Tracker tour was his final one, and not toured this year.

The stiffness of his movements? His clearly lesser abilities on the guitar? The dropping of TR, SB, etc.?
